Creating a workflow is a simple, intuitive process that gives you more time to work on your campaigns. Here are the steps to creating a workflow that adds a free item to your order:

  1. Install the Shopify Flow and Edit Order apps (You’ll need to upgrade to the Premium Plus version — with an obligation-free 14-day trial period — to set up this offer
  2. Open the Edit Order app and click “View Flow Actions”
  3. Click, “New Action,” then click your desired action. In this case click “Free Item Rule”
  4. Name the promotion and add a product. The product value must be 0
  5. Copy the action ID and open the Shopify Flow app
  6. Create a new workflow using the Edit Order templates and paste the copied action ID into the workflow
  7. Once your promo items populate the workflow, save your workflow to turn on your automation 🎉
